Girl's Pirate Coat & Winner!

July 25, 2012

Thanks for all of you who entered my Big Little Winter Coat Giveaway.  It was lovely to hear about your favourite childhood winter garments and I would so love to make a coat for all of you!  Alas there can be only one winner, and one very lucky person is announced at the bottom of this post.

Over the last few weeks I have been beavering away on a new Pirate Coat design for girls.  There have been quite a few requests for a girly coat lately - so I have put together my very first one.

Keeping true to the classic pirate coat there is still a skull and crossbones flag on the back, albeit slightly "girl-ified" and a bag for loot - essential for storing goodies that little hands find on their travels.

The treasure map makes an appearance too along with a bottle of poison which seems to be a rather lady-like weapon don't you think?  Oh and the wee patches are shaped like hearts too :)

All in all I am chuffed with this new coat and I hope it's new little Aussie owner loves it too.

I plan to make a pattern for this coat, so if you would like a FREE copy in exchange for testing it out and sending me some pics of your finished coat, please do drop me an email on thebiglittleshop@gmail.com.

... and the winner of the Big Little Winter Coat Giveaway is.... Stacey from PolkaDotDaze!  Congratulations Stacey, please email me to claim your prize.

xx
